Carson Hearing Care Team
Robin Carson, Au.D., CCC-A
Doctor of Audiology
I’m blessed to have an amazing team of people working with me, and each one of them is a star at what they do. In some ways, Carson Hearing Care feels less like a practice and more like a family – and that includes the patients. As we help them work through their hearing challenges, we develop a special bond that lasts far beyond the patient visit.

I was drawn to the field of audiology because of a deep desire to help people hear and improve communication, allowing them to restore their relationships and take control of their life again. Hearing loss is an insidious disability that can have many negative repercussions, and my mission is to improve my patients’ quality of life through education and treatment.

I was born in Southern California and moved to Denton Texas during my childhood years. I currently live in Fort Worth and I am very excited to call this city my home! I earned my Doctorate of Audiology degree from the University of North Texas where I also completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. While attending UNT, I was employed as a hearing aid technician. I began my career as a resident at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Upon graduating I knew wanted to work in private practice setting, where building strong relationships with my patients would allow me to provide the best possible care. When I am not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, traveling, cooking, and playing with my dachshund puppy Frankie!

Growing up I’ve always known I wanted to go into healthcare. My biggest goal in life is to leave people a little better off than before they met me, the field of audiology allows me to do that. It’s a privilege of mine to educate and advocate for our patients hearing health. To be able to restore relationships with their loved ones and living the quality of life they deserve.

Born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, I am very proud of my strong Louisiana roots and Cajun culture. I received my Bachelor of Science from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and my Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Texas at Dallas. While at Ole Miss, I served as the libero for the Ole Miss Women’s Volleyball team.
Outside of work, I love everything sports and outdoors. Moving to Fort Worth has offered me many opportunities to try new things like pickleball and two-stepping. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling to new places, and cheering on the Ole Miss rebels. Hotty Toddy!
Aimee Plummer
Audiology Assistant
I have worked for Carson Hearing Care since its opening in 2013. I love what I do which is helping our patients hear better. It is an incredible blessing to be surrounded by the best coworkers who are my second family. The office is such a fun place to be and each patient is truly treated like a part of the family. Loving my job so much, in 2018 I went back to school and became a licensed Audiology Assistant.

This has given me an opportunity to work with patients on a one on one basis which I really enjoy. I was born and raised in Fort Worth and would not want to live anywhere else. I attended Texas Tech University and was a stay at home mom until my last child started high school. I have been married to my husband Steven since 1993 and we have three children. Mallory, Blake & Carson. And of course our fur baby, Ranger who is a chocolate lab.
We enjoy hanging out on a good patio listening to live music and are big college football fans. Go Frogs! We attend church at Christ Chapel where we are involved in different areas of the church.
When you work at a job that brings you so much joy and wonderful relationships you can’t beat that.

Jan Hurn
Patient Care Coordinator
I joined the Carson Hearing Care family in the summer of 2019 after transitioning from my former career as a full-time caretaker, personal chef, and chauffeur (AKA a mom). As one of the patient care coordinators at Carson Hearing Care, I enjoy greeting our cherished patients with a smile and visiting with them as they wait to see our specialists. Our patients are like family to us, and I am grateful for the opportunity to get to know each of them and listen to their stories.

When I’m not at the office you can find me relaxing on a shady patio, taking walks along the Trinity River, working on a new craft project, or simply spending time with my husband, Mike, and our three daughters, Hannah, Alex and Adeline. Our family has called Fort Worth “home” for over 25 years. I’ve enjoyed staying active in our city by serving on PTA boards and Booster Clubs, volunteering for local charities like JDRF and the American Heart Association, and attending Watermark Community Church. Now I am blessed to have joined the Carson Hearing Care team and look forward to serving you!

Since we opened, I have seen Carson Hearing Care grow into a passion-driven business from Robin. Her commitment to excellence in the industry as well as her patients is what drives me daily. We enjoy being at work, helping patients and having them include us in their lives.
I was born and raised in Fort Worth, and my husband Kenny and I have two girls. The oldest, Erin, has boy-girl twins that attend Trinity Valley School. Our youngest daughter, Erika, graduated from TCU and moved to New York City shortly after to pursue her dream of living there (we wish she would come home!).
I encourage you to stop by anytime, have a cup of coffee and meet the Carson Hearing Care team.
